David, You most likely have seen the movie : Strategic Air Command starring Jimmy Stewart....it had some amazing scenes of '36s and '47s...seems it hasn't been on lately but we have a search for it to let us know....maybe they'll do a tribute to Jimmy Stewart and show it again someday!
David S Reynolds replied:
I've seen parts of it, never the entire movie. I'll have to put it in the que.

I remember this B-29 flying over Tucson a few weeks ago, Dave.....great capture. I built model airplane kits of these as a boy. In fact, back in the late 1950s, I used to be thrilled to see B-36s landing at Davis Monthan AFB. My dad would time it so that we could stop on the Alvernon bridge momentarily ( not much traffic then ) as the giant bombers flew right over us. FAV
David S Reynolds replied:
I would love to see a '36 in flight! I had quite the mad dash across town to get this shot. Luckily my boss is also a airplane guy and agreed this was a perfectly good reason for being at work.
